The traditional accompaniment to turkey, home-made fresh cranberry sauce.
- 450g fresh cranberries
- 2 level tbsp sweetener
- Grated zest of 1 orange
- Put the cranberries in a small saucepan with 150ml cold water. Bring to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. The cranberries will pop and open, and the sauce will become thick and pulpy. Add the sweetener and stir in the orange zest.
- Cool and then pour into a clean jar or airtight container. Cover and store in the refrigerator.
