What you need:
4 large potatoes
For the standard chip seasoning:
1½ tsp each of garlic & onion granules
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
For the BBQ seasoning:
½ tsp each of smoked paprika, chilli powder, cayenne pepper, garlic salt and onion granules
1 tsp black pepper
For the peri-peri seasoning:
1½ tsp garlic salt
1½ tsp onion granules
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp dried oregano
What you do:
1. Preheat your air fryer to 180°C.
2. Cut the sides off each potato so you’re left with rectangles (you can save any spare potato for mash/ wedges/chips on another day). Put a potato between 2 pens or chopsticks (this will help make sure you don’t cut all the way through it), then make as many widthways cuts into the potato as you can, each about 1cm apart.
3. Turn the potato over and repeat, this time making the cuts diagonally. Repeat with the rest of the potatoes.
4. Sprinkle your chosen seasoning over the potatoes and cook them in the air fryer for 25 minutes, until crispy and cooked through. (If you’re cooking them in the oven, cook for 35 minutes at 200°C/fan 180°C/gas 6.)
