We know that eating oily fish regularly can help to keep our heart healthy – and here’s a salmon dish that blows all the others out of the water! Tender, flaky fillets covered in a sweet and sticky sauce, our teriyaki salmon makes a fantastically filling fish supper, and it’s available now as part of the Slimming World food range.
Perfect for those days when you want a delicious dinner in a hurry, this ready-to-cook teriyaki salmon is on the table with minimum prep (and pots!). Simply pop the tray in the oven and, while it’s cooking, rustle up a selection of your favourite veggies to go with it. So even on your most hectic days, you can enjoy a flavour-packed fish dish and keep swimming towards your weight loss goals. Our head of food and publications, Allison Brentnall, tells us more…
MORE ON THE BLOG: Slimming World Chinese recipes you can make at home
“Home cooking is at the heart of the Slimming World eating plan and we know our members love cooking from scratch. The aim with our teriyaki salmon and hunter’s chicken dishes is to give our members a helping hand in the kitchen, so they can serve up a satisfying dinner even when time is tight.
We’ve sorted the main event of your meal for you, which means you’re free to serve up whatever sides you fancy. I think the teriyaki salmon tastes terrific on a bed of thick soba noodles, with plenty of wok-fried long-stemmed broccoli, sugar snap peas and pak choi, but it also goes brilliantly with rice or even Slimming World chips.
With two skinless salmon fillets in each meal, there’s more than enough to make a filling fish supper for two people. Or, if (like me) you think it tastes too good to share, you can enjoy a portion for dinner and save the rest for lunch the next day.
As always, we’ve included the recipe for the salmon teriyaki on the packaging, to give you the option of making it entirely from scratch when you’ve got more time – or you can check out the full recipe below.
I hope you enjoy tucking into this ocean-fresh-tasting addition to the Slimming World food range!”
