Slimming World eggnog creme brulées recipe
serves 4
ready in 10 mins
4 Syns per serving
What you need:
100g low-fat custard from a can or carton
3 level tbsp advocaat
125g plain quark
¼ tsp freshly grated nutmeg
1 level tsp sweetener granules
2 level tbsp granulated sugar
What you do:
1. Grab a bowl and mix your custard, advocaat, quark, nutmeg and sweetener together until smooth.
2. Divide your mixture equally between 4 x 7cm heatproof ramekins, ensuring that the tops are level. Cover your brûlées and put in the fridge until needed.
3. Shortly before serving, add the sugar and 1 tbsp cold water to a small stainless-steel pan. Keep stirring over a low heat until the sugar has dissolved and the syrup is clear. Increase the heat and boil rapidly until the syrup has turned a caramel colour.
4. Remove the pan from the heat and briefly plunge the base into cold water. (If the caramel sets on the base of the pan, just return to a low heat until it’s liquid again.) Quickly drizzle the caramel evenly over the top of each brûlée – once set, it’s time to get cracking with your spoon!
