My journey started June 2005 I was told that I had Rheumatoid Arthritis. I was suffering pain in my knees and was finding it very difficult to walk /stand for any length of time. I knew I needed to lose weigh so joined Slimming World - my 3 stone loss has certainly helped ease the pain and I’m able to do all the things I love. I was nervous going to group the first time but everyone was so warm and friendly. The sign said ‘ Welcome to Slimming World, there are no strangers here, just friends you haven’t met yet!” How true that was! Slimming World has helped me to eat regularly - I never feel hungry. There is lots of fun in group, lots of meal and recipe ideas, lots of motivation and support. Come along and join us what have you got to lose?
