In 2015, I stepped over the threshold of my local Slimming World group – and it was one of the best things I've ever done. I had two years to go until I took early retirement, and I knew I couldn't go on being the weight I was (16st 9lbs). I couldn't get up and down without getting out of breath. I was too embarrassed to do any exercise and I just wanted to hide my body away. It was my dream to be slim, fit and healthy, so I could do all the things I wanted to do. And within 15 months – with the help and dedication of my Consultant and great IMAGE Therapy in group – I'd achieved just that and reached my target of 10st 8lbs. Six years later, I'm still at target and now I'm a trained Consultant, so I can help others achieve their dreams, too.
