In July 2015 at Wimbledon, during a break between matches, I went to get a drink. Walking towards me was a lady, my height and age, in the exact same outfit. The only difference was that she was a size 10/12 and I was a 20. I just wanted to cry. Two weeks later, I plucked up the courage to walk into the group in Weedon and my life changed! I have lost over five stones in weight, I’m active and healthier and my knees no longer hurt. I still enjoy my favourite foods and continuing to be part of a group as a member really inspires me. My groups are full of friendly, supportive members. We laugh together, sometimes cry together but above all we are always there for each other every step of the way.
